Samuel Berthod plays a Boehm system Buffet-Crampon combined with a German mouthpiece which is an unique combination in the clarinet world today.

He made a strong impression when he was playing his first solo concert, in the Weber clarinet quintet for the Perigord Noir Festival in France, at the age of 16! Then he won a competition for Radio France among 5000 candidates.

Samuel studied with Alain Damiens in Paris, Armin Ziegler in Frankfurt and worked as a clarinet teacher at the Russian Conservatory of Music Sergueï Rachmaninoff in Paris, 10th arrondissement Conservatoire of Paris and he was teaching the clarinet and klezmer music at the Voiron Conservatoire in the French Alps.

He has been performing in many different musical genres in Australia, Europe and Canada.

We can now provide You the opportunity for a music collaboration as: soloist with orchestra, Klezmer- or Balkan music, jazz, world music.
